User Groups
User Groups allows for Cybake menus to be applied to specific users.
You can find these settings in admin/userGroups
The default users’ groups are Full Control and No Control
N.B. Always maintain at least one user in full control to avoid being locked out of Cybake
- Full Control gives a user access to all available menus and cannot be customised.
- No Control overrides any other user groups and restricts all access without having to remove a user from individual user groups or delete their profile.
- Selecting Add User Group will prompt you to enter the name and description of a new user group.
Set the permissions for your newly created group by ticking your desired options.
For the example below, we have selected the Customers group which will only display those modules which are ticked against it for the assigned user.
With your User Group selected, with your mouse cursor, drag across which users you want to be included in the group from the Available Users table to the Included Users
Users can be added to multiple user groups depending on their roll.
N.B. If you wish to revoke access to a user temporarily, you can leave that user in their assigned User Group, and then place them in the No Control group.
Doing so will maintain there existing access without having to set them up again.
You will just need to remove them from No Control, and they will revert to their previous access.
New users created by the service desk will default into the No Control user group where you can assign their access
