Before creating an SBO rule please ensure the following settings, if required, are configured:
Trading Days –ensures SBO only generates figures for days stores are open. By default all days are enabled, there are default company settings in admin > my company > trading days, or you can do it per store on the stores profile page. You can also use the override options for holidays or one-off closures/changes.
Delivery Days – for products which can’t be delivered every day the store is open & ensures SBO only generates for days the product is available. By default, all days are enabled, to change go to the products page and click the retail tab and configure the delivery days section.
Make products available for SBO – to ensure products are available on SBO rules. To configure go to the product > retail page and select show on order plan setup: yes.
Breakdown sales – for items that use another product as a base product (eg sandwiches) and you want the sale of the top level product to drive SBO of the base item. First setup the recipe for the items, then on the product > retail page for the sandwich select breakdown sales: yes. This will then break down sales of the top level item into the base item. (Eg sales of sandwiches will break down into sales of bread and drive SBO for that).
Container settings – for container items where you want SBO to round into the container (eg tray) value. Go to the item’s page and click containers and select SBO force container: yes. You also need to complete the container settings underneath, this is at which point you’d want to round up or down to the next full container.
Stock adjust – for multi-day rules, this will take your last stock take and adjust the order based on this. For instances where you may be behind the forecasted figure to ensure against excess waste. To configure this go to admin > my company > stock
Product uplift – to add an optional additional uplift against the product go to the product > retail page and add your figure in additional uplift. This is a qty figure, not a percentage.
Usage type – by default products are setup for sales based usage, to change to stock based go to the product > retail page and select usage: stock based. Required for stock based rules where sales are not being imported.
Stock cover days – to add stock cover for days when items aren’t delivered. Stock cover can be configured on the product > retail page.
